An important message from the Trustee on COVID-19

On Monday 23 March 2020, the Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced via his broadcast the requirement for the nation to adhere to rules on movement and for workers to operate from home where necessary. These measures are designed to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus (or COVID-19), protect the NHS and ultimately, save lives.

First and foremost, LSF Pensions Management Limited (the LSF) wholeheartedly supports the Prime Minister's decision to implement these measures.

The priority for the LSF is to ensure the wellbeing of its membership and staff and ensure it can continue to provide a service to all members during these unprecedented times.

We would like to reassure all our members that the LSF will continue to operate and remain open, meaning that our pensioners and dependants will be paid as normal on the last working day of the month, and all our members will continue to have their queries answered and requests fulfilled. Our phone lines remain open between the hours of 9am and 4pm (Mon-Fri excluding bank holidays) and we will continue to manage requests sent via the Pensions Portal and via email to admin@lsf.org.uk.

We are obviously faced with the challenge of continuing to receive and issue post to our members and we would ask our membership and their advisers where applicable to make use of the LSF website and Pensions Portal via www.lsf.org.uk where possible.

If you are a registered member, you can access your monthly pension payslip (pensioners and dependants), maintain your contact details, send us documents, and obtain illustrations (deferred members who have not yet reached their Normal Retirement Date).

You, your advisers, or relatives can contact us using the appropriate pages via the “Get in Touch” menu option on the home page.

The Pensions Briefing, which you will have recently received, included some useful information on using the Pensions Portal, so please do have a look at this.

If you would prefer to email us, you can continue to do so via admin@lsf.org.uk. Please do remember to include your Pension Number on all correspondence.

If you need to send us documents, such as retirement instructions, then we do accept soft copy documents. These can be scanned signed documents, or if you do not have access to a scanner, a photograph of your signed documents (please ensure that the picture is clear so we can read all required fields on your forms).

If you do not have access to online facilities, then please rest assured that we will continue to collect our post, but this may be limited to once a week and in line with Government advice around working arrangments.

During these unprecedented times, we would ask you to please be patient with us whilst we fulfil everyone’s requests.

You can find out more on the Government’s guidance on COVID-19 via www.gov.uk/government/publications/full-guidance-on-staying-at-home-and-away-from-others

We would also recommend that our membership visits moneyandpensionsservice.org.uk/ where you will have access to Pension Wise, The Pensions Advisory Service and the Money Advice Service, all of which are designed to help everyone manage their personal finances by providing easy access to the information and guidance needed to make effective financial decisions.

We thank you for your ongoing support.

LSF Pensions Management Limited, the Corporate Trustee of the Lloyd’s Superannuation Fund
